Port Hopper opened on December 1st of 2023, in the heart of Downtown Astoria, Oregon.
With 3000 square feet of merchandise split between two floors, we have filled this space with a collection of decor, art, craft and cuisine from all corners of the globe. We celebrate the color and culture around us by sharing the creations of humanity, both local and global.
There’s two of us, Adrin and Eric Morrison, hello!
We have had nothing but support and encouragement as we have tackled this process as a dynamic duo. We moved to Oregon’s North Coast in 2020, holding on to dreams to make a lifestyle change with our move from the city.
The idea for Port Hopper has existed for some time, but we never found a spot that would allow the idea to thrive.
After a few years residing in Astoria, we realized the perfect spot was right in our city, and we couldn’t be happier to be here!
More and more details emerge about 943 Commercial as we grow in the space. While a lot of this is yet to be confirmed, we can tell you that we are the first business to occupy this space in 40 years.
It has gone through many identities despite being vacant almost as long as it’s been open, starting off as Eastern Outfitters in 1923.
100 years later, Port Hopper has arrived to fill the space with color, light, music and culture.
